Taxi Transfers/Car Rentals to Coral Cottage
When visiting Coral Cottage, you will be flying into the airport at nearby Montego Bay. From there, it will be an approximate 1 ½ hour trip to Coral Cottage. The views along the way are striking and picturesque and make a great introduction to Jamaica. The roads can prove to be a bit rough at times, but are not overwhelming. Jamaicans travel on the opposite side of the road (British style). Drivers must exercise extreme caution when using these roads as they are also shared with pedestrians and animals. Driving after dark is not recommended. Cars can be rented at the airport. It is best to reserve a car prior to arrival, but one may be obtained when arriving without much difficulty. Even easier still, a taxi can be sent to meet you at the airport, arranged through the Coral Cottage staff. It must be requested prior to arrival and will provide transport from Montego Bay to Coral Cottage. Fees are to be paid directly to the driver upon arrival, and are as follows:

   *  $85 each way (up to two people)
   *  $35 for each additional person

The taxi driver is an independent contractor hired through the Cottage and is very familiar with the roads and Coral Cottage. The driver will meet you directly at the airport and will be outside holding a “Coral Cottage – Little Bay” sign. If you are not able to connect with the driver for any reason upon your arrival, please call one of the staff members for help.
